About Us
Language is the door.
Taiwan is the destination !
Taiwan is nothing like you imagine. And that's exactly the point.
Our Story
I grew up in Kaohsiung, a port city in the south of Taiwan, then spent nearly five years living across China, the Philippines, and the US. I'm the kind of person who can't sit still, I've hiked the Scottish Highlands, trekked through Nepal, wandered through Sri Lanka's tea country, made it to Everest Base Camp, and climbed over 50 of Taiwan's highest peaks.
Everywhere I went, whenever I met someone new, I kept running into the same thing: nobody knew how good Taiwan really was.
Not because they didn't care..because they'd simply never had the chance to find out. To most people outside Asia, Taiwan is small, speaks Chinese, and has something to do with China. That's it. The whisky distilleries that hold their own against Scotland, the high-mountain teas that rival Sri Lanka, the dramatic coastlines, the warmth of the people, the food that makes you go quiet mid-bite..all of it, invisible.
Our Mission
Taiwan's problem isn't that the language is hard. It's that Taiwan hasn't been told well enough. People have no image of it, no story, no reason to want to come.
I've worked at Shopee, Alibaba, and Trip.com, spending years helping Taiwanese businesses reach the world. I know what it takes to make something underestimated finally get seen. Now I want to do the same thing, except this time, what I'm bringing to the world is Taiwan itself.
I believe language is the most direct way to change this, because when you start learning a place's language, you start actually seeing that place. Not TSMC. Not bubble tea. The Taiwan that hasn't been spoken yet.
Our Promise
You've probably seen it a traveler standing outside a restaurant, phone raised, frantically translating the menu with an app, still completely lost. Apps can translate characters. They can't translate feeling, context, or the story behind the dish.
Everything here goes beyond teaching you to speak. Every word, every phrase is tied to something real about Taiwan the rhythm of the streets, the warmth of a local market, the way Taiwanese people actually talk. No textbook Mandarin. No mainland defaults. Just Taiwan, as it actually is.
Our Invitation
You don't have to have been here yet. You just have to be curious. Next time you're heading to Asia, give this island a little more of your time. I promise it will surprise you.
Come find the Taiwan that's been here all along... waiting!
